With the rapid development of the space technology, it is more and more exigent for people to explore the space. The successful launching of Shenzhouâ…¤and Shenzhouâ…¥marks the further step of Chinese space exploring. But there is still a large distance in space technology between China and the countries with the advanced level. It can not acclimatize itself to the modernization in China. After successfully launched the man-carrier space shuttle, there is further need for space exploring. So the lunar exploration becomes the next important target in our country.The main research in the dissertation is the design of TT&C communication controller of the lunar rover, which can makes the measure and control, and data traffic among the rover, lander and ground station becomes available, and which can ensure the security in the limited condition of volume and power.First, the dissertation researches the characteristics of deep space communication and the popular space communication protocol, such as CCSDS, OMNI etc. According to the functions of communication controller for data link layer protocol, it analyses the characteristics of the channel of space communication both in lunar surface and lunar space, and also provides the relevant controlling projects of data link layer protocol. In the aspect of communication in lunar ground, it uses the improved frame basing on HDLC, and adopts Turbo as error-correction coding. As for lunar surface, because of the good channel, it uses the standard HDLC ,and for the high speed video information, Turbo is also used..According to the concrete requests of controlling communication system, the dissertation designs the hardware structure of communication controller. It uses MPC850 as core processor, and introduces the structure and functions of hardware, especially the interface's function and characteristics applying to communication interface and enethnet interface. It lays out the hardware's outside circuit linking to core controller.At the last part, the dissertation researches how to develop a communication controller by using embedded system on the software platform.
