Automobile noise is the pollution problem that need be solved urgently in our country. Reducing the noise of automobile not only is beneficial to environment, but also avails to people health and improving the standard of living. How to control the noise of gear-box is an important research to many automobile enterprises. This dissertation aims at the problem of the noise of over length truck falling short of the lately country standard, and makes research on the reason of the gear-box vibrating noise. By combine using finite element analysis and experimental analysis method, the dissertation directly researches the vibrating noise of the gear-box, and takes some availability measures to control vibrating noise from the box surface. By improving the box to reduce its noise, and validate the effect.Firstly the dissertation analyses the reason of vibration and noise of the transmission gear and the box, drawing a conclusion that the change of gear mesh rigidity and transmission error are the crucial causation to engender vibration and noise of the gear-box; the main source of the noise is the syntonic noise in box vibration and noise. It offers a theory gist to decrease vibration and reduce noise of gear-box.To analyze theory mode of gear-box, find out the position that contribute vibration and noise to gear-box mostly, the dissertation creates 3D solid model of transmission gear and box according to CAD drawing by using solid modeling technicians, and finished movement interference testing. Transform the 3D model to finite element model, and progressing finite element analysis. Summing up the character of every model's shaking type; find out the sensitive part of the gear-box vibration and noise.With the experiment of gear-box vibration and noise test, this dissertation identify that the noise root in the vibration of the box surface and find out the prominent position of the vibration and noise in box surface.
