Development Of The Meridian And Acupoints Information Detection System

Meridian theory is the foundation of traditional Chinese medicine. Main and collateral channels connects the inside organs and the limbs. Diagnostics of meridian and acupoints lie on the paths of main and collateral channels, which is based on the correlation of main and collateral channels, acupoints and the inside organs.With the combination of the traditional medicine and the advanced technology, electrology of traditional Chinese medicine has been developed and improved rapidly. By measuring electric information of the meridian and acupoints, we can get the diagnosis. The development of traditional Chinese medicine is greatly compelled by electric measuring of the meridian and acupoints, also it can show the information of pathological changes more deeply and comprehensively, its balance and dialectic standpoint are bright, which is more veracious and practicability.The paper mainly consists of three parts:The theoretical parts include the summarization of meridian research, and the research about the characteristic of low impedance on meridian and acupoints.The second part focuses on the design of the testing instrument, which comprises hardware design and software design. Detector collects the reflected information which is stimulated by micro-current on meridian and acupoints, then the signals are transacted by micro-controller and meridian arithmetic, finally the health status report is displayed on screen and can be printed.How to verify the testing instrument is described in the last part. Debugging instrument, doing simulation and clinical experiments are indispensable to the system.The core of the instrument is made up of PIC16F873A and the USB interface chip; software is based on VC++6.0. The details of design proposal are described in the paper.We get a large amount of useful data by simulation experiment and clinical experiment in Accessorial Hospital of Chinese Medicine College of Heilongjiang.
