Voltage collapse is one of the main subjects of recent researches ,which extends the concepts of power system stabilityies.In this thesis, the characteristics of the critical voltage collapse operation point is analyzed and a novel method used to get the critical point of voltage collapse is put forward.Because a complicated power system is composed of many simple branches and the operation region of a large-scale power system is composed of the intersection of the steady-state operational characteristics of each simple alternating current circuit. This thesis set out from a simple AC line,Analysize the operation characteristics of alternating current , steady-state operation condition of simple alternating current circuits and current-voltage characteristics of critical voltage collapse power flow(CVCPF) are educed.At the same time, research has found that within the operation region of a power system,the power transmission characteristics of a simple alternating current circuit must be compatible with the load power characteristics.
