First this paper generalized some numerical methods and analytic equations by learning the behavior of pile under lateral load, such as M method and P—Y Curve method. Then apply the large finite element software — ANSYS to simulate foundation where concrete ram-compaction individual pile is subjected to lateral load of the actual engineering, analyzing the factors of influencing its behavior, these are pile length, pile diameter, vertical load, rammer expanded body, bending stiffness of pile body, cross-section area of pile body, pile vertex design, etc.. Pile length and pile diameter have influence to lateral load-bearing capacity of Ram-compaction pile compare to other factors greatly. Lateral load-bearing capacity of Ram-compaction pile is increased by lengthening of pile length; Rammer expanded body will eliminate lateral load-bearing capacity of Ram-compaction pile, but the size of the rammer expanded body have no obvious influence to lateral load-bearing capacity of Ram-compaction pile. Because the simulation is carried on in the layer soil foundation, the main conclusions are so near to actual engineering condition more.
