The research of this thesis mainly deals with the development of ultrasonic testing experimental system for seamless steel tube. Based on the generalized analysis to the development and tendency of domestic and abroad related technologies, the thesis has carried on the design and realization of the experimental system. Simultaneously, the detailed principle of design and some essential technologies were presented.The main contents of the thesis were arranged as follows:In chapter 1, the ultrasonic testing technology and its application in the seamless steel pipes testing field were introduced. And then, the necessity of research on this topic and the main work of the theses were drawn out.In chapter 2, the related theories of ultrasonic testing technology were selectively introduced. Then, the analysis and compare about the existing design plans were done. Finally, a design of the experimental system which is more suitable was finished, and the detail designs of some key components in the system were also introduced in this chapter.In chapter 3, the main work was to analysis the designed aims and functional needs of every system component. And then, specifically designed work was done to realize them, finally a real experimental platform was built completely.In chapter 4, based on the analysis of the signal's characters which was used in the ultrasonic testing experimental system for seamless steel tube, the signal's pretreatment plan which used the wavelet transformation principle was designed, and the simulation design to its essential parameters was carried on.In chapter 5, two main works were carried out. Firstly, the validity and reliability of the experimental platform which was built up in the chapter 3 was tested. Secondly, some typical flaw echo signals were collected and simply analyzed.In chapter 6, the work of this thesis was summarized and prospect of improved system was presented.
