Though the research on waverider, in this paper, a cone-derived waverider prototype was made. With a inviscid supersonic cone shock selected at M_∞=4 and zero attack angle as source flow field and elliptoid cylinder as flow capture tube, this paper designed a waverider configuration. Then the flow field of the waverider configuration was numerically simulated in this paper. So it was testified that the designed waverider configuration had the characteristic of waverider .Applying waverider to bullet configuration design, this paper numerically simulated the flow field of bullet with the characteristics of waverider and analyzed the lift aerodynamic characteristics. Through the way of numerical simulation, the primary result showed that this configuration with static stability has a satisfying , The results indicated that the lift-drag ratio of a bomb with waverider is 3.15—7.48 times higher than conventional bullet. It was reasonable to make the conclusion that the objective of design is accomplished.
