The paper integrates the project-"the study of crucial technologies of super-long XueFeng Mountain Tunnel"-which is belonging to western traffic science and technology project authorized by ministry of communication. Applying the two new methods of measuring the displacement and stress field and by means of the modern computer simulation ,this paper complete the study, and include 6 main study aspects as follows:1. Analyzing the basic geological condition of the tunnel region, including topography, geological structure, geological stress, regional stability and hydrology condition, etc.2. Introducing a new method of measuring displacement of tunnel adjacent rock, i.e. TMS, which don't need traditional way of full-filling but point-contacting; selecting the typical section and by means of TMS analyzing the convergence time, loosing circle, deformation features and burst-loosing displacement so as to establish bolt length(in II kind adjacent rock 2-3 meters) and proper time of the second support(in II kind adjacent rock about 20 days; in III about 15 days, in IV about 10 days);collecting information of all-round monitoring of the tunnel deformation, including ground surface fallout, arch crown fallout and the tunnel wall displacement, etc. The results show that any kind of deformation differs in various kinds of adjacent rock, the more weakness ,the more deformation and convergence time.3. Introducing a new method of measuring stress of adjacent rock of tunnel wall, i.e. tunnel-wall-rock stress freeing-restoring method, which enjoy a evident...
