As the basic element, pipeline is widely used in many kinds of different fields. However the pressure pulsation and structural vibration in the pipe system can cause pollution of vibration and noise, even accidents sometimes. Based on this point, this paper makes a study on an experimental pipe model system, and gets the modal parameters by using both experimental and finite-element methods. The main contents of this paper are in the following:For the existing system, the following work is done based on an experimental pipe system: â‘ Hammer-method is applied to this system and the general procedure about how to use experimental mode-analysis method to get the modal parameters is introduced; â‘¡Compared with the experimental results, the simulative results are got by using the finite-element method with the software ANSYS. And also, all normal cells in pipeline system are individually analyzed; â‘¢Based on the finite-element analysis, a special pump-house modal analysis system on the basis of VB and APDL is developed, which brings convenience for the technical engineer to calculate the pump-house modal parameter quickly in the future. For an unknown system, this paper based on the knowledge of hydrodynamics tells us how to get the pressure distribution of a pipe system and the pressure loss between the inlet and outlet, which is the basis of designing pipe system and choosing all kinds of cells.
