| As the quick development of large harbor and ocean structure projects, there will be more and more applications of the large-diameter cast-in-site type rock-socketed piles which mainly bear the lateral load in projects, however, we still lack the study of its behavior. By the analysis of load-test results and numerical simulation, we discuss the deformation characteristics of large-diameter cast-in-site type rock-socketed piles under the lateral load in this thesis.The domestic and overseas study results of a unique pile under lateral load will be reviewed, and many methods of the analysis for piles under the lateral loads will be summarized, and then the P-y curve method, K method and m method will be introduced particularly. The applicability and advantages/disadvantages of methods for analysis of piles under the lateral load will be pointed out.We discuss the characteristics of large-diameter cast-in-site type rock-socketed piles under the lateral load by the analysis of load-test results of lateral bearing capacity of four cast-in-site type rock-socketed piles in two groups.
