A Water-Lithium Bromide Absorption Refrigerator(WLBAR) is driven by several thermal energy with Lithium Bromide solutions as the working fluids. As the great harm to ozonosphere by CFCs and today's poor power supplies, WLBAR becomes more and more popular because of its advantages, refrigerator less power needing and excluding CFCs. Unfortunately, the design of such good refrigerator is dependent on mainly manual calculation and drawing nowadays. Obviously, this traditional design methods cost more not only on time but also on money and designers. What's more, it is impossible to get the optimal result when the results are achieved according to traditional calculation upon experience.To develop the design protocol, the thesis establishes optimal mathematical models. The models take maximum COP with minimum total heat transfer area and maximum COP with minimum cooling water quality as their objects, respectively. A new simulation program is developed to obtain optimal designing parameters of the WLBAR. Comparison is also made with traditional parameters and the results show that the cooling system is greatly optimized using the developed program and also indicate that the program is useful in engineering practice.To release designers from onerous work, this program is developed with the help of AutoCAD software and its secondary development tool—ObjectARX. With the enhanced designing program, designers need only to input corresponding data and click corresponding buttons, and then the simulation and drawing will be completed automatically.
