The composite structure of rigid-frame and continuous-girder bridge, taking advantage of T-rigid-frame and continuous girder, is extensively adopted in multi-span bridge. The rigid frame bridge with twin thin-wall pier minimizes the effect from temperature stress and concrete shrinkage stress. The continuous girder bridge, using longitudinal movable bearings, releases the horizontal force. With the rational mechanical properties, the composite structure of rigid-frame and continuous-girder bridge reaches a solution of smooth deck and subsequent comfortable running without large capacity bearing employed.Dongying Yellow River bridge is an extra-long bridge on the lower reaches of the Yellow River. Based on the design practice of the main bridge(130+3× 230+ 130m), the thesis discusses the main factors of long span rigid frame-continuous girder bridge for design requirement in details. The main contents of analysis are as follows:(1) the plane calculated analysis of the main bridge;(2) the space aseismatic response analysis of the main bridge;(3) the analysis of the high elevated platform with group pile foundation;(4) the comparative analysis of the different value of spacing and thickness of the twin thin-wall pier;(5) the comparative analysis of different closure sequence of the continuous girder of the main bridge which influence the forcing of structure system.Based on the results of the analysis, the design control factors of the long span, low pier rigid frame-continuous girder bridge are investigated deeply. Last, the effective measures of improved forcing of the substructure are suggested.
