High-Speed-Railway exists in the world for 40 years, but it is planed out at present in China. Safety is always important for railway transportations. It is a precondition that the Traction Power Supply System operates safely and reliably to ensure the train running safely. The protection of the Power Supply System and supervision & control system play an important role to ensure the system feeding the train safely and reliably.Firstly the general situation of high-speed railway trailing power system both internal and foreign was introduced in this paper. Through analyze and compare the technology and production information of SIMENS, ALSTOM and HITACHI, My opinions and understanding on high-speed railway were educed. The SIEMENS control and protection concept is based on numerical protection relays of the SIPROTEC?4 product family and on components of the SIMATIC?S7 automation system. All SIPROTEC?4 protective devices work on the basis of numerical methods. Devices used here not only perform protection functions but also enable the control and monitoring of switching elements in an installation. Secondly the ALSTOM ICONIS system is more comprehensive and systemic on supervision and control of the supply system. ICONIS system product is design for hosting any function which is necessary to operate a railway network. So beside the traditional functions such as ATS and SCADA, two other types of functions have been integrated: Management of incidents that have an impact on people or operations and Security functions that take care of passenger security within the railways infrastructure and trains. Thirdly some facilities on HSR which produced by HITACHI have been briefly introduced in the paper.Finally, some idea and suggestion aiming at Chinese condition on constructing high-speed railway in china is presented.
