| Railway crossing , bent and tunnel are always the weakest points in railway safety. Railway traffic accidents menace people's lives, properties and country's transportation lifeline. Today, railway safety is becoming more like a bottleneck to restrict the railway transportation ability.This thesis proposes a project of railway roadblock video surveillance system for railway safety. The working principle is to trace, recognize, classify the railway roadblock by surveillance the rail field at first, then to judge whether there are dangers or troubles in the railway, and at last, to send the data as some required codes to the train's special receiver by radio. If dangers or troubles exist, the train driver can judge the situations of the ahead railway according to the received codes and take some measures to determent the incoming accident at the same time. So the accident rate could be decreased by bilateral operation, the railway transportation safety will be enhanced.The main contents of the thesis include system design scheme,algorithm design, algorithm validating , system emluator. In the system design scheme, the system frame is brought forward according to the system design background,functional object,performance required and so on. The core of the system design is confirmed to be image processing module. The algorithms discuss about railway roadblock video processing, such as background estimating, objects positioning,objects recognizing and tracing. And all the algorithms have been validated in MATLAB.The innovation is showed in this thesis as the railway roadblock video surveillance system is different from traditional video surveillance system, which usually is a camera—monitor pattern. This system is different from the normal railway crossing alarm device. If there are danger situations, this system not only give an alarm in the railway crossing, but also send out the spot dangers to train driver by air. |
