In the process of refining steel and iron, there will be exhaust solid waste material—steel slag. Its disposal and complex utilization are more and more subject to taking into account highly. If steel slags are piled up for ages, so it will not only occupy abundant area of land around steelworks, but also destroy surrounding environment. Accordingly, we must develop the large-scale path of use of steel slag. In the past, most of it was made use of roadbed backfilling material, but utilization ratio has been low for long. As environmental protection consciousness is strengthened and road material is required, engineers begin to consider how to dispose steel slag and put it into road construction effectively.For steel slag physical has oppositely especial force features, but expansibility is main factor to affect its use in embankment backfilling material. Therefore, it is urgent for us to carry out study about the physical force features and expansibility of steel slag. This thesis utilize test method to study the engineering properties of steel slag of Wuhan steelworks and the expansibility of steel slag embankment model; and this paper utilize kinds of forecast model to predict and analyze the expansibility deformation of it. At last, many conclusions were attained, which will be useful for the design and construct of steel slag embankment.The research and unique feature are as follows:(1) This article has studied the engineering properties of steel slag of Wuhan steelworks by test method. Discussing the reason of expansibility of steel slag, and doing experiments about it in different resting period , such as soundness test, CBR test, sieve test unconfined compressive strength with saturation water test, compressive modulus of resilience test, expansive power test and roadbed model backfilling material compactness test etc. At last, analyzing test conclusions in detail. |
