Heat exchanger is extensively used as heat exchange equipment in country economy and industry production. By way of energy using and saving equipment, its performance has important effect in production quality, energy using rate, character of economy and reliability, sometimes it has crucial effect. In fact, because of using some methods of predigesting or approximating and complexity of heat changing process etc. when design to form new-type heat exchanger, we must determine the actual heat transfer performance, also to the old heat exchanger. Therefore, to find out the experimentation and design is important as the same. To a used or unused heat exchanger in projects, we measure the heat transfer coefficient directly to find out the heat transfer character. However, the more consummately method should confirm the convection coefficient of heat-side and cold-side liquid, so as to find out the problem and to ameliorate it.Thus we set up the test-bed of heat exchanger general analysis system. This equipment is composed with one-side hot medium system,secondary side cool medium,heat exchanger,water treatment,control system,etc.In this test equipment, we bring forward to use water/water heat pump technology for the first time. We combine the heat media and cold media, the condenser of heat pump as heater of heat media, and the evaporator as the condenser of cold media. So it may save a great deal of energy and improve the work efficiency.In this text, we use resemble theory to coordinate the equations of thermal performance and pressure drop characteristics of PHE, and introduce the method calculating in common using at present. On the base of testing, we use the method of equi- Renolds number,E.E.Wilson to calculate and analyze the thermal performance and pressure drop characteristics of BR0.45PHE. Gain the equation of Nusselt rule and Euler rule,confirm the relation of velocity of flow and heat transfer coefficient, velocity of flow and flow pressure drop. Finally make error analysis to the testing result and testing system. Using analyzing method of thermodynamics 1st law and 2nd law to evaluate and analyze the performance of the tested heat exchanger.
