Recently, along with the large capacity and high speed of computer and the development of CFD technology, it's possible gradually to apply and popularize CFD technology to simulate and forecast the airflow organization, thermal comfort and design improvement of the air conditioning of large space constructions. This paper applies PHOENICS 3.6.1 which is acknowledged CFD universal business software to simulate and study the thermal comfort and airflow organization of the air conditioning of the Chongqing Grand Theatre. The conclusion of this paper provides theoretical base and guidance for the design optimizing and air flow forecasting of the air conditioning of large space construction.This paper belongs to applying CFD technology to simulate the indoor and outdoor thermal environment of large construction beside the river in mountain city. The indoor simulation and study includes:â‘ Simulates numerically and studies the thermal environment of the air conditioning for the Big House and the Middle House of the Chongqing Grand Theatre.â‘¡Simulates numerically and studies the thermal environment of the air conditioning for the foyers of the Big House and the Middle House of the Chongqing Grand Theatre . This paper simulates and studies the plan of air conditioning provided by the designer. Through the simulating, this paper obtains and analyses the visualized graph and data of temperature field, wind velocity field, air age and PMV, puts forward the causes of disadvantages. Puts forward the optimized operating mode, and bring forward the suggestions to improve the effect of air conditioning.The outdoor simulation and study includes:â‘ Carries out the measure of the outdoor thermal environment on the spot constructing Chongqing Grand Theatre, obtains the coordinates of all spots, temperature field, wind velocity and direction, temperature of the earth's surface, which provide the necessary boundary condition for the numerical simulation.â‘¡Simulates numerically and study the outdoor thermal environment of the Chongqing Grand Theatre, obtains the visualized graph and data of superficial pressure of the construction, pressure field, temperature field, wind velocity field, air age and streamlines.
