The dielectric loss angle tangent (tanδ) is an important target to reflect the high voltage electrical equipment insulating ability, therefore the electric capacity equipment on-line monitor method is mainly monitors its dielectric loss tanδ, which becomes the important contents of the high voltage insulation and test research and applied widespread. Because the power network frequency may fluctuate in the scope of 50±0.2Hz, the entire cyclical sampling condition is very difficult to satisfy by traditional harmonic wave analysis. And it will arouse the "stockade effect" and the frequency spectrum divulges, enables the phase which the idea will figure out to have a bigger error, will affect lies between damages the survey accuracy.Firstly, the paper analysised main reason of the "stockade effect" and the frequency spectrum divulges, and then introduced adding window technical as well as the MATLAB simulation software to research electric capacity equipment dielectric power factor on-line examination.Secondly, this paper researched the principle of wavelet analysis, and then applied it to dielectric loss measurement and a check analysis is also made through MATLAB. Simulation analysis result indicated, the hanning windowed interpolation FFT algorithm and wavelet transformation measuring technique can better reduce frequency spectrum divulge, but also can eliminate "the stockade effect" in the certain degree, made the accuracy have a remarkable enhancement compared with the traditional overtone analytic method.Finally, the article analyzed the two kind of digitizationsmentioned above, pointed out each method advantages and disadvantages, and provided a good reference for further improving the measuring accuracy.
