In this dissertation ,on the basis of the full and accurate summing-up of the research status quo of the ZKtype worm, and according to its larruping trait-its tooth profile not only bears on worm parameters(m, z,d1) but also tool parameters, using computer technology simulated the real machining process of the ZKtype worm. According to the results of the simulation ,it is analysed that the change trend of the ZKtype worm tooth profile follows both worm parameters(m, z, d1) and tool parameters. Consequently, references to the real machining process of the ZKtype worm is put forward.The main contents as follows was presented:(l)Based on the principle that the cone grinding wheel process the ZKtype worm, the equation of the tooth profile was gained and the theoretic programme of the tooth profile creation was writed.(2)Based on the technology of the ActiveX Automation, AutoCAD was exploited secondly by Visual Basic and the three-dimensional simulation of the ZKtype worm machining was realized by boolean operation.(3)Compared the the theoretic tooth profile with the shape of the simulation profile.the distributing law of errors was drew on and the reasons was analysed.The conclusions in this thesis is valuable for the manufacture of ZKtype worm. In addition,the errors of the AutoCAD design system was studied.which was pivotal to the control of machining simulation precision.
