The dumbbell pile is a new foundation improvement technology,it draw lessons from mature technology of grouting,extension department is made in the telos of pile,use this way,the force in the telos of pile is distributed in the soil. which changes the strain state of the soil,the result is the impromented bearing capacity and less subside. the technology. the dumbbell pile has greater superiority over traditional method of foundation improvement in the effect of improvement,construction time limit,cost of engineering and environment protection etc. Therefore it has a great prospect of applicationThe thesis ties model experiment and finite element analysis,analyse the bearing characteristic of the dumbbell from practice and theory,reveals the relevance of force and subside of the dumbbell,which may provide valuable supports for future experiences,also it may provide guide and suggestion for design and construction.As a new pile technology,a train of experiment and nonlinear FEM should be made to verify the pragmatic value of the dumbbell pile,on the base of the conception of the dumbbell and the bearing characteristic of grouting pile,through interior model experiment and FEM,a though study about the bearing capacityof the dumbbell pile is made. the main results are listed as follows:1 .A research about the mechanism ,characteristic,bearing capacity of the grouting pile,on this base,expounds the concept and construction of the dumbbell pile.2.A new equipment is developed,with this kind of devepment,the test of single pile has been designed,the main work is to make interior experiment of four states,anlysis the relation of load and subide. also the resistance of the telos of the dumbbell pile is observed,which estimate the effect of the extension department.3.Through the software,the model of the dumbbell pile is made,then compare the results of experitment and ANSYS, and also anlysis the effect of various parameters.4.Based on the former researchers'work,a analysis solution is developed.
