Efficiency, quality is one of the core problem in the research of the machine process all along. A technology revolution has been made in the industry of machine manufacturing with the successful research of NC technology, which also makes the manufacturing processes achieve significant improvements in the efficiency, flexibility and automation. However, NC technology still limits its application to regulation of the geometry process and has not been accomplished in the physical parameters control. In the processes, due to the influence of the geometry figure, material characteristic, tool wear etc., programmer usually use the conservative cutting parameters, which are always not the best, as a result, the efficiency of the NC machine can not be made full use of. Therefore, making real time control and self-adapt adjust of cutting processes to insure them in the good state in the whole processes is one of the important develop direction to gain a good cutting efficiency.Based on the research actuality of the intelligent control technology of the cutting processes in our country and abroad, by summarizing the research of the former researcher, the self-adapt fuzzy control technology of the cutting processes is put forward. The article takes the NC turning as the experiment flat, using the slender shaft as research object, based on the sensor, by experimenting, research the sensor-based self-adapt fuzzy control technology of the cutting processes. The following task has been done: First, the paper introduces the experiment theory, method, hardware of the sensor-based real time cutting force measurement. Take the slender shaft as an example, a lot of experiments for turning processes with different cutting parameters have been done, and the cutting error caused by cutting force is analyzed. Second, the theory of the self-adapt fuzzy control technology of the cutting processes is introduced and the integer configurations are designed. Then by referring to the theory of the self-adapt fuzzy control technology of the cutting processes and taking the slender shaft as an example, the simulink module is designed and simulation of cutting processes with constant cutting force is done, the performance of the control system is validated by repetitious simulink. Finally, the implement method of the self-adapt fuzzy control technology of the cutting processes is given. Base on the present research of the open CNC, The hardware composing of the intelligent control system of the process is introduced. Then, by using the TMS320 LF2407A DSP, the core part of the open CNC system-Motion Controller is designed. Finally, the experiment analysis for the self-adapt fuzzy control arithmetic is done on the DSP empolder board and emulator.
