The air compressor is applied to each department of national economyextensively as a kind of machinery in common use. But people's work and lifehave been influenced by serious noise that it produces while working. It is oneof the main sources of the environmental pollution. How to reduces the noiseof the air compressor effectively and economically is a main task of mysubject.According to the noise condition of VW-0.22/7-B type oil-free compressor,I designed a muffler in its inlet to control its noise in the paper.First of all, I predict the noise according to the production mechanism of thenoise of the air compressor. The noise of the air compressor is mainly thenoise of its inlet. I measure its noise pressure value with noise pressure meterin two pieces of position near the compressor. We send the measure result intocomputer and analyze it, draw the spectral characteristic of the signal withDASP software. Then we can find the frequency of the noise of correspondingpeak value, and find the real noise source, confirm the volume that should beeliminated. And then, I draw the conclusion: I should install a muffler in itsgas inlet and outlet.Choose the type of the muffler. We confirmed the type of the muffler by thenoise frequency characteristic of the air compressor. It is of intermediatefrequency and high frequency. So we choose an impedance compound muffler. The concrete size is acquired by the optimal design method. Volume is astarget function. Because the kind of resistant muffler is effective to lowfrequency noise, some foam plastic sticks on the cavity of it to absorb highfrequency wave. After it is designed, carry on the power analysis of finite element to themuffler. We do this work with ANSYS software to construct Model andcalculate natural frequency. Finally, do experiment to muffler to analyze its model. Here, we use DASPsoftware and strength hammer device, adopt the way that output in one point, input in some points to do the experiment to analyze it. Then we drew several...
