In this thesis, the research work aims at the safety guarantee technology of intelligent vehicle, The cyberc3 intelligent vehicle is taken as the platform for experimental research, a collision-avoiding system is developed. With the core controller of DSP TMS320LF2407A, and the distance detect sensor of laser radar, it can not only detect obstacle in front of the vehicle and inform the control system to brake urgently, but also transfer laser data to PC at real time.According to function demand analysis and deficiency of existence scheme, an overall design of collision-avoiding system has been made in this article, and the hardware and software of the system has been designed. The system applies UART communication to configure laser radar, and aims at the different steer circumstance, collision-avoiding arithmetic has been made. The system and PC communicate by CAN bus, the laser data is transferred to PC at real time, and meets the need of laser navigation. Control system is the base of collision-avoiding system, the information of urgent brake is revealed by control system, this thesis designed the hardware and software of the control system. At the last, the whole design is adjusting and running together, the practice result shows that the presumed function has been realized.
