In order to make radar plotting assessment objective and logical,and relieve the strength of instructor,some maritime colleges and research institutes began to do some research on radar plotting assessment system.However,those research was based on single target ship and there was little research on multi-ship radar plotting assessment system.The systematic research has been done on radar plotting assessment system and the author has designed a competence assessment system aimed at multi-ship radar plotting successfully.In order to design an objective and logical assessment system,the author has made a wide and detailed investigation to many maritime colleges and then brought assessment factor in assessment system forward.After that,the author has made a modularization design to multi-ship radar plotting assessment system.The assessment system consists of four modules:calculation module,decision-making in collision avoidance module,assessment module and database management module.According to data read from system and data input by student,calculation module can calculate movement factors and the degree of collision risk of all target ships.Decision-making in collision avoidance module can get the standard decision-making to avoid collision through the mathematic model of decision-making in collision avoidance established by this paper.According to non-parametric assumption checking method,this paper established assessment mathematic models for all assessment factors.All these assessment mathematic models compose assessment module together.After calculation by the three modules,the students' total score can be obtained through weighted average methods.In order to lookup and manage all students' score conveniently,this paper has built students' information database by ODBC access technology.The assessment system was tested in Dalian maritime University Navigation Technology Institution.The student's score obtained by the assessment was close to the score given by instructor and this assessment system was ideal as expected.Research of this paper will make some foundation to research of intelligent avoiding collision module in Nautical Simulator. |
