The core technology of Hybrid Electric Vehicle(HEV)is powetrain technology.In this thesis, a series of important problems such as kinematics, dynamics and the design principle of the key parameter about the power synthesizer which is the research object are investigated systematically, and the analytical results can be helpful for the establishment of the design standard and for vehicle control.The power synthersizer discussed in this paper is composed of differential gear train. Hence based on the required performance and the theoretical analysis of the power synthesizer, such as speed ratio, torque, power and transmission efficiency, the key parameter of the power synthesizer of the parallel hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) has been gotten out.The influence of structure parameter and the speed ratio between the two input component on equivalent inertia and the equivalent stiffness is deduced by establishing equivalent mechanical model which is the basis of power matching.The relation between angular acceleration, the structure parameter and speed ratio has been also got, which is helpful for calculating of accelerating time to control HEV.Based on further research of the established dynamic equation, the relation between angle accelerometer, speed ratio and structure parameter is obtained.The dynamic responses of the power synthesizer have been systematically studied according to the above research and responses of the power synthesizer have been researched under the condition of different working states. At the same time, the required time which the system comes into steady state has been also got. Besides, the result of every kind response has been analyzed and it can be the basis of parameter choices and structure design,especially of establishing control strategy.
