The integration of Distributed Generation into large-scale power systems is an attractive proposition in terms of diversity of energy supply, improved efficiency, ease of sitting, enhanced security, better power quality, higher reliability, and reduced pollution impacts. The model of distributed network and DG is built, and through the model, two voltage profile algorithms of distribution network with DG—negative load algorithms and superposition theorem are put forwarded. The effect of DG to the distribution network voltage profile is analyzed in a quantitative manner. SVC/SVG is introduced into the distribution network with DG to regulate the voltage. The voltage criterion is deduced, and the compensation capacity and the compensation location are calculated based on the voltage and the line loss respectively. The voltage regulation on the basis of the optimal allocation of DG and SVC/SVG is advanced; finally the validity of this method has been testified by the simulation results.
