A combustion experimental research on coal samples composed by Shenhua's fly-ash and Shenhua's coal mixture with three different size distributions and four different blended ratios are carried out using a thermal-balance. The activation energies and frequency factors of samples are calculated and the combustion performances of samples are discussed in terms of the curves of TG, DTG and DTA. Furthermore, according to the ignition temperature, burnout temperature, the fastest rate of burning, activation energies and varying with different size distributions and different blended ratios and calculated results, the stable combustion performance of samples under different size distributions and different blended ratios are researched and the concept of the best-blended ratio, size distributions are presented.
