Resolving the problems such as creating arc, mechanical parts broken easily and slowly movement of traditional OLTC is the aim of this paper. Integrating OLTC and FACTS, this paper brings up an arcless and intelligent OLTC technique. This technique according to system request, combining mechanical switch advantage, control thyristors opening at appropriate phase, and realize flexible net voltage control. This system use 80c196MC chip, with measurement the parameter of the system in real-time, through calculation and judgment of control system, to control thyristors and mechanical switches interrelated achieving switch of the transformer taps. This paper designed primary circuit, primary control circuit, sampling circuit, triggering circuit and out-put circuit; programmed and debugged the program. This technique is proved effectively and practically.
