The design coal of Sanhe Power Plant boiler is Jinbei soft coal. But Shenhua coal is the main coal to replace design coal because of the change of coal accommodating. Shenhua coal has high volatile, high caloricity, low sulphur, and low ash. It is better power coal. But it has low ash fusion point, and easily leads to slagging and fouling. This paper developed the reasonable of power blending coals based on analysis of Shenhua coal characters and influence to boiler and thinking over the difference of fusion point and ash. The reasonable distribution ratio of Zhungeer coal with high fusion point and Shenhua coal was obtained in order to improve the fusion point. The combustion numerical simulation of blending coals was completed. The results show that the blending coals characters are little different from the design coal. It can achieve the aim of continuous and safe operation of boiler.
