Analysis And Design For Compound Space Of Modern Architecture

As one of the basic organizational techniques of architecture space, Compound has the particular character in spatial structure. After evolved over thousands of years, It is still largely used in modern architecture. From the angle of space relationship, the author analyzes the type and character of the space organization of compound in different layers and sums up some design techniques .This thesis aims at giving a position solution for how to design the compound of the modern architecture.The thesis starts from the definition of compound in modern architecture. By analyzing the space characters and the history evolved, a basic comprehension of compound as a whole is established. In the following chapters, the space relationship in compound is analyzed in different layers from part to whole. In chapter two, a single compound is studied as main body. The relationship of buildings and courtyard in compound is researched from the angles of the static fabric in space and movement in space. Design techniques are induced in the end of the chapter. In chapter three, the main point of research is compound cluster. The study focuses on the basic relationship of space between single courtyards and the author summarizes the combination mode of space in compound cluster. In chapter four, compound is placed in environment. From nature, city and region aspects, the relationship and design techniques are discussed in the process of intervention.
