In the areas near ocean and river, there are silt layers of different depth, highly depressed, having low natural bearing capacity and presenting plastic features. Building highways on this soft subgrade without proper disposal probably lead to the great damage and influence the normal usage. so the reinforcement of highway subgrade plays a very important role.To this kind of soft subgrade, it is necessary not only to choose the proper method to reinforce the foundation, but also to measure the displacement of the surrounding clay-mass. The above two aspects take an important place not only in the building course, but also in the usage and conservation course. There are various ways to reinforce the soft subgrade, but wet jet mixing pile have some obvious advantages, so it is wise to choose this method. Of course, there are also several ways to measure the clay-mass displacement, but they all have some defects, such as expensive or not synchronous. But displacement has functional relations with curvature radius, and it is possible to build a relation between curvature radius and strain through experimentation, so it is convenient to build a function between strain and displacement. During the perfusion course, strain guage can reveal the data of strain, so the amount of displacement can be obtained. During the static load course, the surface displacement can be measured by the stereo vision method through two cameras. After getting a great deal of useful data, the principal of the displacement in different times and in different locations can be obtained by drawing displacement curves, consequently the experimentation can provide useful data for actual construction.
