Since 1886 automobile has been invited, traffic accident has become a big harm of society, puzzling many countries of the world. According to statistical data of World Health Organization, there are one million two hundred thousand people of the world killed by traffic accident every year, millions of persons are injured or remnant, the annual pecuniary loss that causes in whole world reaches 5180 dollars. In the year 2000, traffic injury ranks 9th in the reason that mankind dies and becomes sick, and in year 2020, this place goes up to the third. Safety of road has huge influence on human health and economy of society, more and more attention is paid by each country.This paper analyses road traffic safe condition based on GIS, identifying road accident-prone locations, and then arranges them according to their seriousness degree in order to satisfy the development of road traffic management. The major research result of this paper is that by analyzing the basic theories and methods which are commonly used it puts forward the application of artificial nerve network BP arithmetic this new evaluation technique to identify road accident-prone locations, providing a new way of thinking of how to ensure road accident-prone locations, and it enriches the basic theory of accident-prone locations identification. On the foundation of each influencing factor in the road traffic safe system, through integration analysis we can find out appraisement index used in traffic accident-prone locations identification.This paper is guided by basic theory of GIS and artificial nerve network BP arithmetic, according to idiographic requirement, it establishes another major research result which is Development of Identification of Accident Prone Location Information Management System Based on GIS. It adopts the way of twice development by integrating GIS software and visualized development language, including many main functions such as query and Statistics,accident-prone locations identification,arrangement of accident-prone locations. It can identifies accident-prone locations by using interrelated information of road traffic accident, providing a reasonable,scientific and convenient effective tool.Traffic accident-prone location plays an important part in the research of the relationship between road and accident, being an important branch of road safety...
