Oil shale is a kind of potential and tremendous energy. Among the fossil fuels, its reserve in terms of the calorific value is only next to coal and holds the second place. As waste residue after extracting oil, semi-coke has 3600~4000kJ/kg heat value, which is approximately 40~50% of the oil shale gross heat value. Because of its characters, such as low volatility, low heat value and high ash content, semi-coke is a kind of low-grade fuel which is very difficult to ignite and to burn out. But about 1/4 of oil shale whose size less than 8mm can't be able to extracted oil, which only can be sent to the power plant directly. Therefore, we can mix oil shale with semi-coke, and then send them into the circulation fluid bed boiler, achieving the goal that limited using oil shale. This CFBC (Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion) pilot is set up for this goal.In this thesis, revolving combustion-test of the oil shale and semi-coke, a CFBC pilot is designed. The bed temperature, excess air coefficient, dense phase combustion fraction, primary and secondary air allocated proportions, secondary air position and its way given are considerated. What's more, the critical fluidized velocity, the grain terminal velocity, air capacity, gas capacity, the velocity of gas flowing in dense phase, the velocity of gas flowing in dilute phase are calculated. In the end, the key components such as cyclone separator, circulating ash returning equipment, air distributor, firing device, observing window, gate for digging up the dreg are designed.By means of cold experiment, thermal debugging study, and remending the pilot, the performance of pilot is perfected and operated on the whole. In addition, the fact that the pilot can fire with many kinds of solid fuels is proved.In this thesis, experimental study on combustion performance of semi-coke and their mixturer of shale and semi-coke is conducted. The distributions of temperrature and pressure alone the height of the pilot are obtained. The stable flame is obtained. In the end, Combustion efficiency is caculated. The study work of this thesis can provide testimony and direction to design larger CFBB (Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler) for semi-coke. The semi-coke, in terms of experiment, can be utilized by means of CFBC. The fuel that about twenty percent Oil shale is mixed into semi-coke will suit for CFBC, which is showed by experiment. The study also proved that bottom ash and fly ash can be utilized as build material.
