Breast tumor affects women's health seriously. Its incidence is increasing year by year. Early diagnosis of breast tumor has significant effect to enhance the success of therapy and the forward liability of sufferer. Therefore, Early Breast Tumor Detection Technology has been a highlight of medical imaging community all over the world.UWB (Ultra-WideBand) Signal has high penetrability, carrier ability, and pseudo white noise peculiarity. The microwave near-field breast tumor detection based on UWB technology has lower radiant energy level, large carrier information of object, etc. It can provide object locating precision on millimeter level, high resolving level. There's possibility that breast tumor can be detected safely, fast, and accurately.Microwave Near-Field Imaging is a new assisting method in breast tumor diagnosis. This technology indicate a new inspect method whose information carrier is UWB signal. It use UWB signal to get the distribution information of tissue in breast, and process the reflect signal which come back from breast. According to the different permittivity between normal tissue and tumor tissue, it rebuilds the breast image in PC using special reversing deduction algorithm and diagnoses early breast tumor.This dissertation is based on Shanghai Municipal High Technology Tackle Key Project-"Research on the imaging method of Breast Tumor in UWB near-field environment and diagnosis of early Breast Tumor (Project Number: 03JC14026)." Following the magistral line of imaging investigation on Early Breast Tumor in UWB near-field environment, we discuss the electrical properties of breast tissue in near-field environment, and then approach an UWB near-field medical detection system.We introduced the demand and applying background of breast tumor detection in UWB near-field, and the applying status in the global range, and put an approaching scheme, then we analyze the hardware approaching scheme of UWB near-field breast tumor detection system, and realize the design on the hardware platform. Also, wecomplete the data acquiring and storing software developing using Visual Basic.This detection method can be extended to detect other hypodermic tumors, for example, skin cancer and lymphoma, etc. And we also show a new method for target imaging on tissues with different electrical properties.
