This thesis carries out studies about the load modeling of Baotou and Wuhai in Mengxi electric power network. The target of the study is to enchance the stability of Mengxi power system and increase the transmitting power limitation. Firstly, the load composing and some typical load characteristics are investigated for the load in Baotou and Wuhai. Secondly, the detailed method of Component-Based Modeling approach, including how to gain the load models on the line and bus, how to dispose the transformers, is introduced. Thirdly, a new method is discussed and brought out, which verifies the correctness and effectivity of load model by using the data from fault recording device. There are lots of low-voltage trip device in Mengxi region, the paper carried out simulations and analysis on the inpact of low-voltage trip device under large disturbances. Finially, the new load models are used in the simulation in BPA for analysis of system stability. Comparision of the simulation results with the data provided by fault recording device proves that the models are correct and effective. The transmission capability between Wuhai and Baotou can increase 11.4% to 29% according to the operating status.
