Research On AGC System Over Communication Network

Firstly the advantages and disadvantages, research history of networked control system are summarized in this paper. Then the automatic generation control system over communication network is discussed. Networked control system based on general predictive control is introduced. The paper contains following contents:1. As to a two-area AGC system, GPC algorithmic is applied to compensate the random time-delay introduced by communication network, the simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.2. For a two-area deregulated AGC system, GPC controller and network delay compensator (NDC) are designed to control the networked deregulated AGC system, the simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
