Communication signal delays in networked automatic generation control system are analyzed. A neural network predictive control scheme to networked automatic generation control system considering communication delay is described, and used to a single networked automatic generation control system, through building buffers in the actuator node, the proposed method can compensate for random network delays completely. A predictive functional control scheme to networked automatic generation control system considering communication delay is described, and used to a two-area networked automatic generation control system, through building buffers in the actuator node, the proposed method exhibits satisfying control effects and can compensate for random network delays completely.
