Transmission tower is a kind of high-rise structure of importance and erected everywhere. If the transmission system is destroyed, it will hurt power system and affect people's life. As a result, it maybe draws fire disaster and brings great loss to the poverty. How to ensure the transmission tower system works normally under any condition is an important study subject in the electric power field and civil engineering field.In this paper, wind-induced vibration and wind-induced vibration control of transmission tower were analyzed by FEM model of transmission tower and FEM model of transmission tower with the consideration of transmission line. The main content includes as follows:1. The basic characteristics and expression of wind load were investigated. The wind loads acted on transmission tower were simulated.2. Buildup 3D FEM model of transmission tower and ensure the applicability of this model by analysis.3. Analyses the model of transmission tower's dynamic characteristic and wind-induced vibration in time-history.4. Analyses the wind-induced vibration of transmission tower controlled by TMD.5. Buildup FEM model of transmission system with the consideration of transmission line. Analyses its dynamic characteristic and wind-induced vibration in time-history compared with single tower.6. Analyses the wind-induced vibration of transmission tower controlled by TMD with the consideration of transmission line.
