The cable-strut-beam-membrane structure is a new-type building structure, which has lots of merits such as mechanical performance, high efficiencies, novel modeling, etc. In recent years, this kind of structure is drawing more and more attention .And it demonstrates wide application prospect both in architectural featurette and big span structure. The cable-strut-beam-membrane structure has been developed abroad for nearly half a century. However, modern membrane structure has been developed in China only since 1990s.At present, great amounts of achievements of the study on the cable-strut-beam-membrane structure have made both at home and abroad. But, the safety is still ensured by high safety storage in the practical engineering. The membrane and the frame are designed separately, which results in more not only calculation cost but also error. Recent years, more and more attentions are paid on the co-analysis of cable-strut-beam-membrane structure. Under this background, this paper stresses that membrane is not only maintenance architecture but also bearing structure member, so that form-finding and load analysis of cable-strut-beam-membrane structures should be made cooperatively. This paper introduced the form-finding methods of cable-membrane structure, cable-pole structure and cable-strut structure, after looking back the use of Nonlinear Finite Element Method in the analysis of cable-strut-beam-membrane structure. Also, a new method for form-finding of membrane structures by controlling mesh distortion is put forward. Also, the loading-analysis of cable-strut-beam-membrane structure is studied, especially the beam string structure, which is made up of cable, membrane, pole and beam.Firstly, this paper makes form-finding analysis to the membrane and cable-membrane structures, then to cable-truss, cable doom and beam string structures. At last it makes form-finding cooperative analysis to beam string structure, which contains cable, pole, beam and membrane elements, and certain significant conclusions are reached. Some conclusions are reached by comparing co-analysis with analysis separately. It cannot truly response the mechanical performance of the structure when analyzed separately. The magnitude and distribution of stress in the two conditions are very different from each other. Therefore, the cooperative analysis of the structure is necessary. At the end of the dissertation, some conclusions are summarized and the key problems that should be paid more attentions in the further study are put forward.
