This article taked the Hengshan port thousand ton level wharf front bulkhead of the Zhuzhou navigation electricity key project project as the object of study and carried on the limiting equilibrium method and the finite element method to calculation of the bulkhead stress situation and the stable analysis of the changed design. The study researched existing bulkhead design theory and the method, the way of the stable analysis for gravity type bulkhead and the mechanism of destruction. The author used the limiting equilibrium method and Finite element method separately analyzed the stability of the wharf bulkhead and gave us some guidance comment.Firstly, the artical carried on the brief introduction to this project background and the goal, analyzed the bulkhead design theory present situation, and points out this article the research significance and the primary coverage; Secondly, the author in detail introduced the balancing gravity type bulkhead earth pressure computation correlation theories, including in earth pressure theory and standard each earth pressure computational method; Thirdly, the article emphatically introduced the balancing gravity type bulkhead conventional design process and the method; Finally, this article according to the Mt. Hengshan thousand ton level wharf front bulkhead the project actual situation and the geological situation carried on the change to design and to establish two-dimensional and the three dimensional finite element model. And then, the author used the limiting equilibrium method and finite element method separately analyzed the stability of the wharf bulkhead. Through the analysis and the contrast, this article fully confirmed the change design's rationality and gave the instruction comment to the project construction. It is advantageous to improves the project quality, lengthens thebulkhead project'service life and can provide the reference for the later engineering designs and the construction.
