Concrete-filled square steel tube structures had been applied in civil engineering increasingly in resent years. They adopted the advantages from concrete and steel products, which not only has plenty of merits such as high strength, excellent in toughness, plasticity, fire-resistant performance, also much convenient at manufacturing and construction. However, few experiments and theoretical researches on concrete-filled square tube structures had been conducted, especially laggard investigation in concrete-filled square steel tubular column to steel beam connections, which clogged its spread application in china. Three joint types recommended by nation code and only one design method given, which couldn't meet manifold civil engineering.Joint with anchorages is convenient at manufacturing and has no influence at connection appearance, which could apply in structure needed small stiffness. In order to promote further application and development in concrete-filled square steel tube structures, this dissertation concentrates on experimentation and theoretical research in thwart web of concrete-filled square steel tubular column to steel beam connections with anchorages.Three specimens had been tested under low-cyclic reversed loading at the end of column to research the strength, failure modes, ductility, and energy dissipation behavior and so on. The FEM software ANSYS was used to analyze the influences on specimens capacities with different axial compression force ratios and concrete strength.Based on the results of experiments and FEM analyses, the equations for yield capacity of the connections obtained by assuming the yield mechanism agreed well with the values of experiments and FEM analyses. On the bases of the achievements in this dissertation, the design methods and detailing requirements for the connections with anchorages between concrete-filled square steel tubular columns and steel beams was put forward. They can provide the references to the engineering design.
