Aimed at the DENSO ECD-U2 high pressure common rail(CR) system, this thesis presents the relative research on the embedded software design for the electronic control system of CR diesel engine on the basis of the study of the working principle, characteristic, history and trend of electronically controlled diesel engine. This thesis studys CR diesel engine control strategy and accomplishs software design on injection control and engine managements based on μC/OS-II embedded operation system. Lastly, elementary calibration and experiment on test bed was performed.Based on diesel engine combustion characteristic and the demand of the emission regulations the proper control strategies have been brought forward. With the running conditions divided properly, different control strategy for each control parameter, including injection quantity, injection timing and common rail pressure, for different running condition have been obtained, which help to meet the demand of quick start and steady running of engine. Functions of fault-diagnosis and fault-tolerant ensure safety of engines.In this thesis embedded operating system is introduced and μC/OS-II is successfully transplanted into MPC563. At the schedule of μC/OS-II the program has realized the processing of input signal and the precise control of the TWV and PCV. Based on the powerfully TPU module of MPC563, pilot injection has been realized as well as flexible injection timing and duration. With multi-task mechanism of μC/OS-II introduced, a more real-time, stable, flexible and open common rail control system is built.Lastly, a test bed is established based on a direct injection diesel engine 6106 equipped with ECD-U2 common rail system. Experiments on test bed finish the MAP calibration primarily with the help of the online calibration software, combustion-analyze software and other date-acquired software. The test results verify the precision, feasibility and reliability of software design. Performance experiments suggest that CR injection system has a big potential to decrease the emission and improve the performance at the same time for diesel engines.
