As society progress and economy development, save energy and protect the environment have been aroused attention all over the world at large. In recent years, adsorption refrigeration systems have received more and more attention and developed very fast as a type of environmentally friendly system. Adsorption refrigeration system kind of effective means of using low-grade heat sources. Applications show that adsorption processes are a potential application of refrigeration/heat pump technology, if it's well developed. The adsorption refrigeration system can be powered by other sources of energy (like waste heat from gas and steam turbines, sun) than electricity. Furthermore, an adsorption refrigeration system does not deplete the ozone layer and hence, it poses no danger to the environment. In the promotion of environmentally friendly and energy utilization systems, the adsorption refrigeration system has a promising potential for environmental protection and energy-saving.At present, Because of its advantages of less environmental hazard and fully use of exhaust heat, adsorption refrigerating system has a wide range of potential application in industry. However, the performance of adsorption refrigeration cycles is always less than that of others refrigeration system. The purpose of this study is to investigate the coefficient of performance for adsorption refrigerating system. This paper is devoted to energy loss of heat and mass transfer for adsorption refrigeration system. It is very important theoretic reference for adsorption refrigeration system to enhance coefficient of performance (COP) and optimization work conditions.First, adsorbent bed is the "heart" of the adsorption refrigeration systems, and also important ingredients influence adsorption refrigeration COP. Heat and mass transfer performance of adsorbent bed is key ingredient for enhance adsorption refrigeration efficiency. It is very important theoretic significance for perfect adsorbent bed system to evaluation results and methods of irreversible thermodynamic process. Based on the first and the second law of thermodynamic, the entropy and the entropy generation rates of heat and mass transfer...
