One of obvious differences between the Hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and the traditional internal combustion vehicles is that HEV has two energy convert devises. One energy convert devise is the traditional internal combustion and the other is the electric system composed by motor and battery. As these are two energy convert devises, for HEV how to use these two energy convert devises fully to achieve better fuel economy and lower emission than the traditional internal combustion vehicles? That is to say, once the vehicle components are chosen, on the condition of vehicle dynamic ability and other basic abilities such as price etc, in order to achieve better fuel economy, lower emission and higher efficiency the HEV control strategy determines the distribution energy between the engine and motor based on the characters of these two components and driving conditions. Enhance, the HEV control strategy is one of the key technologies of the HEV design. The thesis, based on the 863 project—the development of control system of hybrid electric transit bus power train, studies the influence of driving cycles to the HEV control strategy. It is the improvement of the former HEV control strategy.Firstly, based on the software advisor, the Jiefang Hybrid Electric Bus is simulated under two driving cycles, it is found that the control strategy of Jiefang Hybrid Electric Bus can not both suitable for these two driving cycles .As a result ,it is meaningful to discuss the influence of driving cycles to control strategy.
