There are a great number of research reports on damping material both home and abroad.,which show that the polymer material has the priority to be high damping material. However, another conclusion can also easily be made that these reports focus on only increasing the damping coefficient and broadening the usage range of temperature. In this paper, a newly-designed damper is made of rubber, plastic and polydimethylsiloxane and show high damping property and wide usage range of temperature.By the analysis of Dynamic Mechanics Anlysis instrument and swelling experiment in cyclohexane on TPE, the results show that the number of the physic node decides the resisting swelling properties of thermal plastic elasticity. The more the nodes are, the better the resisting swelling properties is. If some monomers or some polymers is added to the TPE, the physic nodes increase, the resisting swelling properties could become better.some Because expanding coefficient of the capsule which was made of TPE with best resisting swelling can not reach to the level less 1%, the small molecular in polymer must be removed. The experiments showed that it is useful to remove the small moleculars in polydimethylsiloxane and can satisfy the usage request. The calcium carbonate particles can keep basic balance in its particle diameter less 4um during 15 days by the analysis on forces made on particles. Stearic acid used as surface modifying reagent can greatly improve the hydrophobe and stop particle from gathering together. The steady state properties were determined by cone-plate rheometer, and the results show that the zero shear viscosity was greatly influenced by contents and surface properties of CaCO3 in PDMS. The Donnet theory can be used to give a good explaination to this kind of phenomena. The dynamic properties of PDMS/CaCO3 system containing CaCO3 were determined by plane-plate rheometer, the results showed that the storage modulus and loss modulus increased with the raising content of CaCO3 or modified CaCO3 in fixed frequency and decreased with increase of temperature. With the same content of CaCO3, the composite systems of modified CaCO3 had the higher storage modulus and loss modulus. In low frequency(less 20Hz),The damping coefficient of damping oil was above 10 and decreased with increasing of frequency. Fixing frequency, the results of amplitude sweeping of PDMS/CaCO3 system containing 20% modified CaCO3 illuminated that there was no Payne effect and illuminated that there was no particles gathering. The discussion on vibration equation of passive damping show there is a multi-resonance -area system which has several fulcrums with different weights. This system is without value in practical because the vibration is difficult to controll.
