The infrared stealth coatings mostly aim at the scout of thermal infrared imager, and be conducted to depress brightness of the object in infrared band , enshroud or distort the shape of the object on thermal infrared imager, reduce probability of the object discriminated and found. Whereas the key technique of attaining thermal infrared stealth is obtaining low emission materials .It is important to investigate low emission coatings in 8-14μm wavelength.Low infrared emission coating is a species of significant infrared stealth materials and mostly contingent on coating adhesive, stuffings and methodology. Adhesives are significant components in infrared stealth coatings. Select and requirements of them are very strict, it not only requires good infrared transparency that has very low infrared absorption especially in 8-14μm wavelength, which means good infrared transparency, but also has good physical and mechanical properties, and they are fine acid resistant alkali resistant and weather-proof.First of all, this thesis reviews infrared notion emission theory, the stealth theory of infrared coatings and development status of infrared stealth coatings in both abroad and home. The evaluating system of infrared stealth coatings is summarized clearly, at the same time this paper advances question that exists in the process of infrared stealth coatings under discussion for the moment. Infrared emission characteristics of resins and stuffings are studied in this thesis as well as physical and mechanical properties of lacquer film. The select of adhesives adopts infrared analysis and so on. The test of physical and mechanical properties of coating film uses routine installation and instrument. Adhesion impact resistance and flexibility are tested. Through study, the grafting polymer of ethylene propylene rubber and acrylic acid is used as adhesive of infrared stealth coatings, which can obtain good results. Among routine adhesives, organosilicon varnish is a species of infrared coatings with better camouflage effect. It is a positive significance to select and exploit infrared stealth materialsFor the moment, it is difficult to gain desirable camouflage effect by monolayer painting. Through study in this paper, it can achieve preferable camouflage effect to adopt multilayer painting, though construction would be a little inconvenient. By the method of multilayer painting, infrared stealth coating can be obtained and its infrared...
