Tall slender buildings are classified steel structure and reinforced concrete structure by material. The previous theoretical studies and engineering practice focused on above-mentioned structure, and studied lesser for composite structure. Therefore, it is necessary to analysis and study deeply for tall slender structures which adopt the form of composite structure so as to master the features and methods of this structure. In this thesis, with the engineering background of certain large-scale advertisement board structure, the influence of different structural systems on the resistance capacity to lateral bending of tall slender structure are researched contrastively. Then, composite structure is chosen. The researching work shows that the column can enhance the lateral rigidity of whole structure if composite structure (reinforced concrete-filled steel tube column) is sued in large-scale advertisement board structure. The structure is that steel tube in the upper section, plain concrete-filled steel tube in the middle section, and concrete filled steel tube column reinforced in compression and tension area in the bottom section. The 3-D member structure model of the advertisement board structure, and dynamic characteristics, section moment-curvature relationship curves and load-deflection relationship curves of members are studied. Furthermore, according to strip method, the numerical program of design of support column is attained, which is used to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity and the lateral displacement of structure. The program is adapted to the engineering background and is proven to be satisfied by theoretical results. Finally, the foundation design should be studied carefully, because advertisement board structure bears wind load in certain direction. Different foundation forms are researched contrastively according to the features of advertisement board structure, and a new-style foundation is presented. The advantages of the new form of foundation are demonstrated. This form of foundation can be widely used in advertisement board engineering.
