Recently, the economic of China has been developed rapidly, and a large numberof high-rise buildings have been constructed in many cities, whose heights are morethan two hundred meters. Traditional reinforced concrete structures exposed theshortcomings gradually when they are used in high-rise buildings, such as the largemember section size and large self-weight and so on. In ordor to solve these problems, the steel structure and the hybrid structure of steel and concrete have been applied inhigh-rise buildings, and the latter has been developed mostly. This paper has taken the2rd project of Tianjin Ocean Shipping Plaza forexample, and researched the analysis of the hybrid structure of steel and concrete inhigh-rise buildings deeply. Detailed analysis of the seismic standards of engineeringand seismic performance objectives have been made fully and a detailed introductionto the selection of the structural systems and the structural arrangement. This paperhas analysied structures in a seismic intensity of contingency level and design level, with a special and finitical element analysis software, and checked the elastoplasticeffects under a rare-level earthquake with the EPDA, a dynamical and elastoplasticaltime-history analysis software. Besides, a detailed description has been made in thewind-resistant design of the project.
