This article embarks from the arch bridge mechanical characteristic and the present research situation, take the actual project—the bridge over the Bing-jiang river as the example, study the structure from statics, stability and the dynamic performance, analyse the Mechanics characteristic of the Continuous and skew tied arch bridge.This article established the special model Using finite element software ANSYS and MIDAS, at the foundation of the bridge over Bin-jiang river, through the changing of bridge angles, analyzed the mechanics characteristic of the Continuous and skew tie bar arch bridge with the action of permanent and alive load, under the different situation with single and continuously, orthogonal and skew and so on. provided the foundation for optimized design of this kind of bridge. On the foundation of statics analysis, but also analyzed the stability and the dynamic performance of this type bridge, the analysis result indicates that the skew angel have small influence on the stability and the dynamic performance .this article also established entity model of the end joint of the arch with solid element using ANSYS, studied its stress distribution interior with several most adverse instance, the analysis result indicates that stress distribution of the end joint of the arch is reasonable. tensile stress exists in the wings of the corner between the arch and ties.Finally, considering the characteristicof the Continuous and skew tied arch bridge that its Mechanics is anisomerous, this article studied on the method to optimize of arch axes. and write the programme through the MATLAB language, and the optimization make the arch axes more reasonable, the distribution of the moment on the arch was even, and also confirmed that the method based on the MATLAB language to optimize arch axes used in this article is feasible. in addition, and provide some beneficial suggestions and reference for the design of the brige over Bing-jiang river and the similar bridge.
