In a long time,Chinese scholars have given a very comprehensive research of loess,formed loess science systems with Chinese characteristics.Still,there are also some disadvantages in the know of loess.With Midwestern region economic development and the project of large-scale development of Western China and promotion of old industry base in Northeast China carrying out,many important projects are coming on one after another.Therefore,more concretely discussing the strength softening characteristic of collapsible loess on primary basis has specially important significance.This paper mainly studies the strength softening characteristic of loess-like soil by triaxial shear test on the basis of primary research productions of loess.Firstly,this paper simply introduces triaxial shear test of loess-like soil,and analyzes the main influence factors of test productions,and brings forward some proceedings which improving triaxial shear test should notice.Secondly,on the basis of analyzing the stress-strain relationship curves of loess-like soils with three different water contents from wind tunnel laboratory in the second location of Harbin Institute of Technology and Anbu Xiqu in XiangFang District of Harbin,the stress-strain relationship curves of loess-like soil are divided into two types:progressive hardening type and post peak-soften type.This paper compares the stress-strain relationship curves of loess-like soil under same water content and different circumference pressure;compares the stress-strain relationship curves of loess-like soil under same circumference pressure and different water content;analyzes the relationship curves of utmost strength and water content and circumference pressure of loess-like soil;analyzes the relationship curves of cohesion and angle of internal friction and water content of loess-like soil.From them obtain some regular conclusions,they can provide reference for projects.Finally,this paper establishs mathematical models for two stress-strain relationship curves of progressive hardening type and post peak-soften type of loess-like soil,a method of determining parameters in two mathematical models...
